A. When should you perform a Time-Out procedure? – Done before the procedure starts, and documentation is required for all invasive procedures 100% of the time
B. When should you enter information on the sample medication log sheet? – When distributing medication
C. What must be verified during a Time-Out procedure? – Confirm correct patient identity (2 patient identifiers), verify that it’s the correct procedure, and verify the correct site (side, digit, tooth #, laterality, etc.)
D. The clinical record must be complete (signed) within (48) hours of the visit.
E. When can computers be left unattended with patient information? – Never
F. How often must the Hemoglobin Quality Control Log be updated? – Daily
