Dr. Caroline Hoke joined Erie Family Health Centers in 2004, and served as Hospira Foundation Endowed Medical Director for Women’s Health from 2014 to 2018. As Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Hoke works closely with the Executive Leadership Team, providers and staff to continue to enhance Erie’s medical services, improve processes, and strengthen relationships with hospital partners.
Dr. Hoke has been on staff at Erie for over 13 years, either as a full-time provider or a member of Erie’s delivery team. As Hospira Foundation Endowed Medical Director for Women’s Health, Dr. Hoke oversaw prenatal care, well woman care and advanced gynecologic services delivered by Erie’s OB/GYNs, Family Medicine physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives and Advance Practice Nurses. In this role, she was responsible for ensuring that Erie adhered to standards of care for women’s health services, met and exceeded quality benchmarks and delivered care holistically through the coordinated efforts of Erie’s multidisciplinary team. Dr. Hoke also directed Erie’s delivery teams, which delivered 2,200 babies in 2017—a figure in the top 1% of community health centers nationwide.
Dr. Hoke completed her medical degree and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a Clinical Instructor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Hoke is also on the medical staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Swedish Covenant Hospital, and trains Family Medicine and Obstetric and Gynecology residents at Swedish Covenant Hospital and Obstetric and Gynecology residents at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She has participated in numerous international medical mission trips including traveling annually to Bolivia to provide surgical services and training.
