As Interim Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Caroline Hoke works closely with the Executive Leadership Team, providers and staff to continue to enhance Erie’s medical services, improve processes, and strengthen relationships with hospital partners. Dr. Hoke is also the clinical leader for women’s health programs at Erie, overseeing prenatal care, well woman care and advanced gynecologic services delivered by Erie’s OB/GYNs, Family Medicine physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives and Advance Practice Nurses. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring that Erie adheres to standards of care for women’s health services, meets and exceeds quality benchmarks and delivers care holistically through the coordinated efforts of Erie’s multidisciplinary team.  Dr. Hoke also directs Erie’s delivery teams, which delivered 2,200 babies in 2016—a figure in the top 1% of community health centers nationwide.

Dr. Hoke completed her medical degree and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has been on staff at Erie since 2004, either as a full-time provider or a member of Erie’s delivery team. Dr. Hoke is on the medical staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Swedish Covenant Hospital. She is active in the education of colleagues and peers, and she trains Family Medicine and Obstetric and Gynecology residents at Swedish Covenant Hospital and Obstetric and Gynecology residents at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
