Vicki Whildin is Erie’s Vice President of Operations and manages a big portfolio. She provides executive oversight for Erie’s Humboldt Park, Foster Avenue, Helping Hands, and Waukegan health centers, as well as Erie’s Oral Health program and our Patient Access (call) Center. She is also responsible for the success of Erie’s Process Improvement, Referral and Health Information Management departments.
Vicki first joined Erie Family Health Centers in 2004 and until 2007 served as Administrative Director of Oral health, where she successfully developed and managed Erie’s first-ever oral health facility, oversaw Erie’s external relations with oral health advocates and public health officials, and ensured comprehensive, quality services were provided to patients.
She rejoined Erie in 2012 as Director of Dental and Health Center Operations, where she managed dental operations at four health centers as well as assumed overall Health Center Operations management at Erie’s newly-opened Foster Avenue Health Center and quickly grew it to the second largest of Erie’s 13 locations.
Between 2007 and 2012 Ms. Whildin was Manager of Operations at Elite Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, a five-location, medical group headquartered in Nashville, TN. Still earlier she fulfilled managerial and operational roles at Hyatt Corporation and Gerry Brown & Associates.
Ms. Whildin has a Master of Arts degree from DePaul University (Chicago, IL), with an emphasis on the sociology of health care and a BA in International Business and Spanish from St. Mary’s University (Winona, MN). Of course, she is competent in Spanish.
