Dr. Kamilah Banks-Word received her M.D. at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science. She completed her Psychiatry Residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital (Park Ridge, IL), and a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Chicago Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience. She began serving patients in 2019. She is dedicated to providing compassionate clinical care and is interested in cultural psychiatry, trauma-focused work and collaborative care.
