Erie’s Lending Hands for Life (LHL) program
Since 1989, Erie’s Lending Hands for Life (LHL) program has been helping patients living with HIV/AIDS.
We offer a wide range of services — from medical care to emotional support — for individuals who are living with HIV/AIDS or at risk for HIV transmission. A team of community health workers, case managers, and providers are here to make sure you receive the highest quality care for living your healthiest life. These supports are based out of our Humbolt Park and Foster Avenue Locations.
We also work with individuals interested in HIV Prevention services on ways to reduce transmission.
- PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is medicine that reduces your chances of getting HIV from sex or injection drug use. When taken as prescribed, PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV.
- We offer oral and injectable PrEP services at all of our Erie locations.
As part of LHL, our patients learn to live healthy lives and reduce the number of transmissions in Chicago.
